Spectacular F1 debut for LiberoVision at RTL
German Formula 1 broadcaster RTL was the first sportscaster worldwide to use LiberoVision’s Formula 1 analysis system on air.
RTL used the LiberoVision’s 3D analysis to break down the spectacular and controversial crash in the Belgium Grand Prix of Spa right at the beginning of the race. The analysis began from the helicopter camera to show Romain Grosjean’s aggressive maneuver against Lewis Hamilton, which lead to the multiple collision. At the moment of the crash, Libero Highlight brought the viewers to the frontal camera angle with a spectacular 3D camera flight. Fernando Alonso was heavily hit by Grosjean’s car without any chance to escape – Libero Highlight visualized this deadlock by tracking and putting a graphic highlight on Alonso’s race car. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt in the crash. Nevertheless, Romain Grosjean was banned for the following race.
